Eco-Friendly Fashion
Honors Portfolio II
For the art aspect of our project, we created products for an Etsy page out of used items from thrift shops and items we already owned. |
Honors English IV
For the English aspect of our project, we created multiple mission statements, and then merged them together to create one large mission statement. Our mission statements were inspired by other companies' structures. We also wrote out multiple product descriptions that were inspired by organic Etsy shops. |
Honors Self in the Modern World
For the social studies aspect of our project, we researched how the fashion industry has contributed to the downfall of the environment. With our research, we created a website, as well as advertised our products. |

Mission Statements:
Scientists say that by the year 2035, we will reach the point of no return with climate change. As far as any human could remember, we have been polluting the earth with toxic fumes, chemicals, and waste. In years past, it was the use of coal in factories but mass production and improper waste disposal has become a big contributor to this problem as well. The act of recycling old materials to create new fashionable clothing and accessories would encourage environmentally friendly fashion.
Our mission with this shop is to repurpose materials in order to create fashionable items in the most environmentally friendly way possible.
Our vision for the future is to be flourishing and thriving in our healthy environment. However, at the rate in which we are dropping, we will not be able to see this vision through. That is why our goal is to create products that are environmentally friendly. We do this by up-cycling clothes from thrift shops, making handmade items from materials we already have, and using eco-friendly materials. We want to make a change in the world, we will contribute that change towards the Rainforest Alliance. An organization that devotes their time and effort towards improving and bettering our environment!
The Fashion Industry is the second most harmful industry responsible for destroying our environment. From water pollution to toxic chemicals in the air, the fashion industry is to blame for numerous environmental issues around the world. The only way to make a change is to stand up and fight back, which is exactly what are company stands for. We create our products from repurposed materials in order not to support these toxic fashion brands.
